Candy Bars and dessert tables are certainly gaining popularity as a unique and delicious way to chocolate-coat your wedding day. Lets face it, who can imagine anything better than a table laden with taste bud tempting treats? Here's a few tips on how to help you pull-off a stylish and unforgettable DIY candy display on your wedding day.

1. Color me Candy: Limiting the colours you chose will ultimately ensure a coordinated and polished finish. Use your designated wedding colours as a guide and select confectionery that matches your theme. It could be as simple and sophisticated as an all-white display full of marshmallows, white chocolate coated strawberries, white wafers, mints and milk bottles. Or perhaps a flourish of pretty pink is more your style? Look no further than fairy floss, bonbons, M&M's, lollipops, pink meringues and more. It's all about variety, texture and most importantly taste so choose your favorites and take your family and friends on a sugar filled adventure!

2. Presentation, presentation, presentation: The very best candy tables are presented with a little flair and plenty of preparation. Take your time prowling for interesting glass jars, vases, bottles and serving dishes to showcase your chosen confections. Varying heights is important to ensure your table looks inviting and exciting and don't forget spoons and scoops too. For added punch make sure you label each treat... A cute hanging tag on each jar or a sign in coordinating colors is a great option.

3. It's in the Bag: Make sure you provide a portable container or bag for guests to laden with their chosen candy to take home. It could be as inexpensive as a clear cello bag or as deluxe as a rattan basket for each and every guest. Some will pick and nibble throughout the evening whereas providing a take-away option is always a crowd-pleaser.

4. A trip down Memory Lane: Research candies popular in past decades and treat guests young and old to a trip back in time. Your grandma would adore seeing those nostalgic treats such as Caramel Cubes and Licorice Bites and your high school best friends will really get a kick out of seeing Skittles and Sherbet on the menu.
