Crochet is no longer exclusively for older generations. Crocheted heart cake toppers provide an elegant way to bring some charm to your wedding.
You will need: crocheted doily, kitchen skewers or tooth picks, glue, water, a mixing bowl, spoon & and scissors.
First, cut out a heart shape in each doily by folding in half and cutting half a heart shape through both layers. Then, stir together two parts water & one part glue.
Next, saturate the entire crocheted heart into the bowl.
Then, lay the wet doily on wax paper to dry, allowing at least 24 hours to ensure the glue has hardened.
Now it’s time to attach the doily to the skewer. Secure the kitchen skewer to the back of the doily using a small amount of glue.
